I'm planning to buy a set of Harley SE twin cam HTCC ported heads for my '00 FXD. Harley says to use their intake manifold (29635-99) but I can't see how I can hang my flange mounted Super E carb to their manifold. At the risk of appearing stupid is there "ANY" way I can use my S&S Super E with these heads? Any info will be appreciated.

I would contact S&S to see if they make a manifold that will fit those heads.

I've emailed S&S tech support twice with no success. I am hoping someone may have dealt with this same issue.

I think I would find me a "Good" independant shop and ask them what manifold you should use with the S & S carb. I got a 00 Softail with stock heads and an S & S carb on it. I would think that unless they did some kind of exotic port work on the mounting flange that it should work.

Talked to S&S today. They echoed you thoughts and said because the Super E is oversized for stock heads it would work fine with the oversized ports on the SE HTCC ported heads. The head intake ports are 43ish mm and my manifold , as best as I could find by searching the web, is 1.780 ID. When I convert the figures I come out with a little larger manifold opening than the head port. Less then a tenth of an inch. Not exactly port matched but I hope thats close enough to work well.
